Your comic starts with a striking image on the splash page and continues with strong visual imagery. I like the way you use large areas of black to create a feeling depression and being closed in. This is especially powerful when the panels grow smaller and the black areas larger towards the end of the comic. I find using large black areas very difficult to execute, but you have managed it very well.

The story arch is based on an internal monologue by the main character, which is appropriate as the theme consists of closing himself out of any interactions. You have created dramatic tension from the internal struggle where the main character cannot help but falling deeper in depression.

The way you present your main character’s interaction with other people is very subtle. This I think is to emphasize that he is shutting others out, so we only see the hand of someone offering him food. Still there is the desperate desire for someone to care hidden in the negative statements that nobody cares.

All in all, the comic expresses the chosen theme well. The media is used creatively to support that theme.
